The hydroponic system you set up is going to be on a strict watering schedule that is set by you. This will prevent your orchid from getting too much water. If you are looking to set u p a hydroponic system for your orchids, then you can do it almost anywhere. If you have very little space in your garden, then that is fine. You could also use the inside of your home. The hydroponic system will also make sure you have enough light because you will be using UV lights.
